Prior to teaching elementary school, I taught the teeny-tiny little ones in pre-school for three years. I received my teaching degree from the University of Iowa: Go Hawkeye’s!! I am originally from the Chicago area. My husband, Jim, and I lived in Canada for 3 years where our daughter was born. We have a son who was born in Chicago. We also share our home with our golden retriever, Larry, and our two rats. Our family loves the outdoors and this is the reason that we moved to Colorado many years ago. We spend almost every weekend up in the mountains. I love to hike, camp, bike, run, and, most of all, swim. I collect children’s books and love them more than most women love shoes.
